  1. What is lollu.net?
    lollu.net is a social bookmarking website where you can share, comment and gossip on interesting stories, news, blogs, videos and pictures that you find on the web.
    Blog authors can also share their blog posts to increase their popularity and get traffic.
  2. What kind of stories can I submit?
    You can submit any interesting stories, articles, blogs, images and videos; however you must select the appropriate category under which the story should come under. For example if you are submitting under the "Tamil" category, the story should be something related to Tamil or Tamil Nadu.

    Please dont submit content or stories such as hot actress, hot songs, mp3 download etc. These stories will be deleted. We dont accept stories or content such as:

    Pornographic or adult content.
    Gambling or other illegal content.
    Torrents, Scam links, Viruses, Trojans or the Like.

    Advertisements should be posted only under the "Classifieds" section.
  3. What is lollu?
    Lollu refers to the goodness of a story. It shows how the Lollu community likes the story and clicked over the Loll-it link to show their acceptance.
  4. What is user score? How is it calculated?
    User score indicates the contribution of an user in Lollu.net. Most of the activity of an user in Lollu has associated score:

    If user score falls down in minus figure, the account will be automatically disabled.
  5. Who are TopMovers & TopLeaders?
    TopMovers are the users who earned the highest score in last 24 hours and TopLeaders are all time highest score earners.
  6. How does stories get published? Why my story never get published?
    Stories are published based upon votes aka Lollu, comments, freshness, views, user score (who voted it), source of story etc. The more the story has these values the more chance it has to be published. Once the stories are published the top ten stories are listed in the front page.
  7. How can I change my Avatar image?
    Sign up in www.Gravatar.com and provide the same e-mail id you provided in Lollu.net for registration. You can then select your avatar image in www.Gravatar.com and it will be reflected in Lollu.net
    If you dont see your avatar image updated, try refreshing the page in the browser after clearing the cache.
    You can use the same Gravatar image in many other websites that use Gravatar.
  8. How can I promote my blog or website in lollu.net?
    You can submit your website or blog post URL to www.lollu.net
    This way interested users can comment on your post and also visit your site or blog post making it popular.
  9. How can I put the Lollu counter in my blog or Website?
    The easiest way to get the counter html is from your submitted story page in Lollu.net; just go to that page, click the "show counter code" link, copy the html and put it in your blog post. Otherwise, you can paste the following code into your page's html; just replace your_post_absolute_url with the exact url or link you submitted as a story.
    You can also change the color and appearance of the counter. To do this, go to the submitted story page in Lollu.net, click the "show counter code" link and use the color picker options.
